Organizations that issue credentials or certify third parties against official standards are themselves formally accredited by accreditation bodies. The accreditation process ensures that their certification practices are acceptable, typically meaning that they are competent to test and certify third parties, behave ethically and employ suitable quality assurance.

Educational accreditation is a type of quality assurance process under which services and operations of educational institutions or programs are evaluated by an external body to determine if applicable standards are met. If standards are met, accredited status is granted by the appropriate agency.

The Andhra Pradesh Productivity Council is an autonomous tripartite non profit making registered society, setup in the year 1958 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh

The Council renders services towards promoting and propagating productivity, efficiency and effectiveness in all spheres of life. A Governing Body comprising of nominees from Government and representatives from employers, employees, Institutions / Professional bodies and Individuals of Eminence, Periodically review and guide the activities of Council.

Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation

APSSDC is a unique organization formed as a public private partnership (PPP) corporation to promote skill-development & entrepreneurship in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The corporation is incorporated as a Section-8 company (not-for-profit) with a private equity component of 51% and 49% by Govt of AP. The Corporation now serves as the Executive Agency for the newly formed Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. APSSDC will also serve the important task of providing high quality skilled manpower as part of the acknowledge and Skills Mission of GoAP, which is one of the cross-cutting missions among the seven missions formed by the govt to facilitate double digit growth of the state.

As per some estimates, Andhra Pradesh will face an incremental Human resources requirement of approximately 10 million skilled workers between 2012 till 2022, across the high-priority and emerging sectors. Thus the main objective of the corporation is to implement a structured and pragmatic solution to skill & upskill the workforce in the state of A.P. and to increase employability, and promote entrepreneurship in sync with Industrial growth of the state. And this will be done in a mission mode and the target is to skill 20 million people in 15 years by meeting skilled human power demands of all missions and shape AP as the skilled-workforce and Knowledge hub for the world.

To facilitate the above, the target population has been divided into 7 segments, viz.: Drop outs, Engineering skills, degree & PG, in-trade services, agri & allied, crafts, SHGs & entrepreneurship development. Separate programmes will be designed for each segment. A hybrid model where APSSDC carries out its own programmes as well as value-adds & collates the training being done by other departments is being adopted by the corporation to start with. Some unique & best of class training programmes like Siemens Centres of Excellence Clusters, Capital Area Skilling, Train the Trainer, etc. are part of the whole gamut of trainings to be offered at different levels.

APSSDC will be staffed with best of talent in this sector & will partner with leading training providers & industry to carry out the training programmes. It aims to develop a best-in-class learning management system and placement and tracking mechanism. Ultimately, it aims to be among the best training provider organizations in the world.

APITA is an autonomous body established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to increase the employment of the state.
APITA focuses on
