Learning at Nalanda is grounded in real work.
Seven laboratories and studios, the Visual Communication studio and NDC Radio, Vijayawada’s first degree-college campus radio and run by students, are where the practical hours happen.
Alongside the degree, the Training and Placement Cell runs resume workshops, mock interviews and certification courses.

Students choose from 12 honours and professional programmes across 10 departments, with 7 laboratories and studios for their practical hours.
Every student belongs to a mentor group of 15–20, and Nalanda Degree College has been teaching for more than 25 years.

Students learn photography, video and broadcasting in a working studio that is one of its kind in the Krishna region.
The station is run entirely by students and is Vijayawada's first campus radio at a degree college.
Resume workshops, mock interviews and CRT run alongside the degree from the first year. Between 2019 and 2024, 1,610 students were placed, 60 companies visited for placements and 85% of CRT-enrolled students found placements.
Conquest, the annual sports meet, brings three days of athletics, cricket and kabaddi to the ground beside the IGMS Complex.
